I'm Sofie Brouwers, born in 1992 and currently living and working in Hasselt, Belgium.
I followed my intuition into ceramics, where I found a balance between craft, rhythm, and space for stillness. Since 2021, I have been studying Ceramics at PXL-MAD School of Arts, where I continue to deepen and refine my practice.

My work begins with a fascination for repetition, rhythm, and the sensory. I draw inspiration from nature, where small elements come together to form larger structures — like cloud formations, starling murmurations, fungi, or plant systems. Ceramics allows me to give physical form to this kind of accumulation.
The repetitive process of making acts as a form of meditation: it slows down the noise and sharpens my focus. I search for forms that express a quiet presence — inviting interaction, but without demanding it. I hope to awaken a subtle urge in the viewer: to look, and to want to touch.
