'Blue Mass I & II' are compact, amorphic ceramic volumes covered in hundreds of individually placed spike-forms. The pieces invite both attraction and caution: their softness of shape contrasts with the sharpness of texture, evoking a tension between curiosity and defence.
Each spike is applied by hand — a gesture repeated thousands of times — making time and labour visibly present in the surface. The blue gradient intensifies this tactility: ranging from icy light to electric dark, it animates the form as a pulsing body.
Though abstract, the pieces suggest growth, protection, or even breathing. Together, they seem to hold a shared rhythm — related like two lifeforms from the same root, but each with its own gravity.
