“A crumpled sheet, cast in clay”
Year: 2023
Medium: stoneware, white underglaze
Dimensions: approx. A3
Exhibited at: [jury/exhibition room at PXL University]
Status: one-off ceramic object

This work resembles a crumpled piece of paper — but is in fact shaped from clay. What appears quick and disposable is carefully preserved, giving physical weight to something usually thrown away.
The title 'Kladversie' refers to something unfinished, a first attempt, or even a rejection. By transforming such a gesture into ceramic, the work invites us to reconsider what we value and what we discard. The creases and folds become permanent, turning a moment of hesitation into a lasting trace.
The piece plays with contrast: between lightness and mass, fragility and durability, movement and stillness.
