'Kleurwandeling' is a ceramic interpretation of a musical fragment. Each coloured ring represents a musical note, with its diameter determined by pitch and its length by duration. The result is a rhythmic composition in space — a silent melody turned into a tactile visual score.
Rather than following traditional musical notation, the work creates its own spatial logic: intuitive, flowing, and open. The viewer is invited to “read” the piece by moving along it, following lines of colour, curvature and interruption.
This translation of sound into form reflects an ongoing exploration of rhythm, repetition and synaesthetic experience. Kleurwandeling makes music visible — not to be played, but to be perceived in a different key: through colour, material, and gesture.
